The two main CellBank Australia aims are to act as a secure repository for cell lines developed by the local research community, including cultures derived from unique Australian species and make it easier for scientists in this region to access quality-controlled cell lines for their experimental work. CellBank Australia is currently accepting cell line deposits for banking and international distribution and has a growing list of unique Australian cell lines.
