Description: Derived from an adenocarcinoma of the stomach of a 54 year-old Caucasian female with no prior anti-cancer treatment. AGS cells are persistently infected with parainfluenza virus type 5 (PIV5) (Young et al.”, 2007).

Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-5×10, 000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin; 0.05% EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
