Description
Description: Established from the peripheral blood of a 56 year-old male diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

Growth Properties: Suspension
Morphology: Single round to polymorphic cells growing in suspension
Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 0.5 – 2 x 1000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Doubling time approximately 60 hours. Split saturated culture 1:2 every 2-4 days. Round to polymorhpic cells growing singly or in small clusters in suspension.
Release Conditions: Yes – commercial organisations are required to complete the 'Cell Line Release Authorisation for Research Use in Commercial Organisations' release conditions form.
