Description: The KF1 cell line was developed from Koi carp (Cyprinus carpio koi) fin.

Growth Medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). 10mM HEPES can be included if a CO2 incubator is not available.
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 2 x 104 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 25°C.
