Description

Description: One of a series of cell lines established from mononuclear cells of a boar (Sus scrofa domestica L) which was injected with Shimozuma cells producing porcine retrovirus (Tsukuba-1). Contain retrovirus particles; positive in RT assay. Membrane contains u isotype molecules.

Morphology:

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 0.05mM 2-Mercaptoethanol (2ME) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 100,000 to 1,0,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells grow as small clumps.
