Description
Description: Derived from mononuclear cells from the peripheral blood of a 20 year old female. The patient has been diagnosed with Cockayne syndrome complementation group CSB. This multisystem sun-sensitive genetic disorder is associated with a DNA-repair defect after UV irradiation. The cell line LB242 has been established by EBV transformation. Fibroblasts from the same individual are designated CS4BR.

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 4mM Glutamine + 200 µg/ml Sodium Pyruvate (NaPy) + 15% Heat Inactivated (HI-FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 100,000 cells/ml, dilute every 1-2 days to 3 x 100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2, 37°C. Cells form floating aggregates.
