Description
Description: A rat prostate tumour cell line derived from successive in vivo passages of the AT-1 tumour cell line (ECACC catalogue no. 94101449). The cells are anaplastic, androgenin dependant and metastatic to the lung.

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 250nM Dexamethasone (DXMT) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:10 to 1:20 i.e. seeding at 2-4×10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
