Description
Description: Derived from mouse liver cell line NCTC 721 which was obtained from normal liver of a 2 day old C3H/An mouse. The cells have been used in biochemical and nutritional studies. The cells are susceptible to VSV (Indiana strain).

Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:4 using only mechanical techniques, such as scraper, do not use trypsin, 5-10% CO2; 37°C. Change media every 3 days. Freeze in 10% glycerol/90% FBS. Cells are shed into the medium giving it a turbid appearance similar to bacterial contamination. Suspension cells are viable and can be used for further subculture.
