Description
Description: Derived from a normal female adult owl monkey. Sub-cultivation on over 100 occasions produced no evidence of latent infection. Used for propagation of non-human primate viruses e.g. Herpesvirus aotus, Herpesvirus saimari and Herpesvirus ateles.

Growth Medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:8 i.e. seeding at 1-3×10, 000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 37°C.
Release Conditions: Yes – CITES (Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) licence required for all orders outside the European Union
